From Albania to USA
My story begins in Albania during an era of stringent communist rule and profound geopolitical transformation. When the regime collapsed and the borders opened in the early 1990s, my mother, sister, and I made a perilous journey to Germany, driven by the unwavering belief that a better future could be built from the ground up.
Thanks to the legacy of my grandfather, who was born in Massachusetts before the Albanian borders closed, I was granted the incredible privilege of immigrating to the United States at the age of seventeen. I arrived with no knowledge of the English language, but possessed a relentless drive to carve out my own space in a completely foreign environment.
I learned early on that adversity is the ultimate catalyst for growth. Refusing to let circumstances dictate my trajectory, I pursued my education relentlessly, breaking through barriers to ultimately earn my Master's degree from New York University. Today, as a Global Digital Transformation Leader at a multinational corporation, I leverage that same tenacity to direct complex initiatives and empower other women to architect their own success stories.
